Reading event host & MC
Event host in Reading.
A Reading event host and master of ceremonies, from The Old Mill in Aldermaston to the Crowne Plaza on Caversham Bridge.

Two very different rooms in Reading.
My Reading work has been at opposite ends of the venue spectrum: a riverside event at The Old Mill in Aldermaston, and a hotel event at the Crowne Plaza on Caversham Bridge in the town centre. Both needed the same thing underneath: a toastmaster and MC who coordinates the day quietly and keeps it moving without anyone noticing the effort.
I came up through television and live entertainment, so I run an event like a warm, well-paced show rather than a running order read aloud. That instinct works as well for a corporate event or fundraiser as it does for the toastmaster duties I have carried out in Reading.
- Event host, master of ceremonies and toastmaster
- One host for the whole day or evening, not a patchwork of acts
- A pre-event consultation as standard, so nothing is a surprise on the night

Rooms I have hosted around Reading.
What I host in Reading.
Master of ceremonies
One MC for the whole day or evening, reading the room second by second and holding it together between every moment so nobody in the room has to.
Toastmaster duties
A warm, unflappable toastmaster who coordinates the running order, cues every key moment and keeps things moving without a stiff, formal edge.
Coordinating the timeline
Working with your planner and suppliers so arrivals, the meal and every key moment land on time, and you get to enjoy the occasion as a guest.
Coaching nervous speakers
A quiet word before the speeches, a running order that sets everyone up well, and a calm hand on the day so every speaker feels ready.
Corporate events & fundraisers
The same read of the room for a business event or fundraiser, keeping the evening flowing and the pacing right for the room in front of me.
Parties & celebrations
Birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations hosted with pace and warmth, with interactive game shows built around the people in the room when you want them.

A client review, in their own words.
Ray Parlour, Arsenal legend: “Kevin was very, very good. Anybody who needs a good host, Kev’s your man.”
Client reviews
Hired Kevin to be a Master of Ceremonies and he was incredible. The day ran so smoothly and he was attentive, understanding and helping increase the energy of the day. If you’re looking for someone to help, whether that’s for a charity auction or to host an event, you won’t be disappointed if you choose Kevin.
Kevin hosted our annual football Graduation Ceremony and he was truly exceptional throughout the event. He had a remarkable way of engaging with the audience making it fun for all the children and parents. He was even courageous enough to get people dancing on their feet which really added to the atmosphere of the event.
Great man and Fantastic Host! I met Kevin when he was the host of the launch of my life’s most important event so far. The launch of Heelo was an unforgettable experience and Kevin made it so much greater and more amusing than it was.
