Quiz show hire · a big-screen game
Hire a live Quiz Show for your event.
The quiz-board format made for a big screen: five categories, values from easy to hard, and teams racing to the buzzer. Pick a category, pick a value, and the first team in gets the question, including picture rounds, where a flag, a landmark or a famous painting fills the screen.
A hundred picture questions built in: flags, landmarks and famous paintings, plus your own logos and photos.

How a round plays
How a round of Quiz Show works.
It is a hosted quiz with a pulse, not a slideshow with a reader, buzz-ins, steals, a running clock and a live leaderboard, driven from my own software so the tempo never drops.
Pick a category and value
The board shows five categories with five values each. A team chooses where to play, safe and low, or big and risky.
1
Buzz in first
The question opens and every team races to buzz. First in gets the answer and an eight-second clock on screen.
2
Picture rounds
Some questions put an image on the big screen instead, a flag to place, a landmark to name, a famous painting to identify.
3
Steals and scores
A wrong answer can be stolen by the next team in. Scores update live on the board after every question.
4
In among the tables, every round
On the big screen
The real screens, not a mock-up.
Every screen on this page is my own software running live, captured at the size a projector throws. It is one of nine big-screen games in the same app, run from a phone in my hand at the microphone, with the sound, the strikes and the scores built in.

Three ways to play
Three ways to play Quiz Show.
Every game I run can be played three ways, and I pick the way that suits the room, the timings and the layout on the night: as a show at the front, table against table, or with every single guest playing on their own phone. Mix them across an evening and nobody spends the night watching.
As a show
Teams at the buzzers
Three or four teams at the front, a category board five values deep, and the first to buzz gets the question and an eight-second clock. Steals on a wrong answer, live scores on the board, and the picture rounds put a painting or a landmark up in front of the whole room.
Best for: awards nights with a stageAt the tables
Every table on the board
Each table takes a turn to pick a category and a value, and every table answers on paper or a phone before the reveal. The table that picked it scores double, everyone else scores single, and the live leaderboard keeps the whole room in the game rather than the three teams at the front.
Best for: conference dinners and quiz nightsOn the app
Everyone answers on their own phone
On phones the quiz becomes Quiz Live: four colour tiles, a countdown, points for being right and being quick, and a podium at the end. Or run the same thousand-question bank as The Cut, a knockout where the lowest scores are cut every round.
Best for: whole-company nightsBuilt for the room
Same game. Two very different rooms.
I customise every game for the audience in front of me: the questions, the answers, and the way I present them. The same format is a completely different show for a room of graduates in their twenties and a room of chief executives, and it should be. I write for the people who will actually be there, then I speak into the listening on the night: I read what the room is giving back and change gear to match it.
Pop culture and pace
- Categories I would pick
- Music since 2015, films, sport, social media, and one called
Things your manager says
. - How I host it
- Quick picks, quick buzzes, and I let the steals get noisy. The picture round is memes and album covers, not oil paintings.
- What lands
- The team that goes straight for the five-hundred-point question and gets it.
Range, and a bit of risk
- Categories I would pick
- History, geography, business, the arts, and a category written from the company’s own year.
- How I host it
- More time on the board and less on the buzzer. I read the gambles out loud so the room knows who is playing safe.
- What lands
- The picture round. Nobody expects the finance director to know the painting, and then they do.
1Written for your people
Send me the year’s stories, the in-jokes, the departments and the industry. The rounds are built from them, so the answers land in a way no off-the-shelf pack ever can.
2Speaking into the listening
The words on the screen are half of it. How I present them is the rest, and I pitch the pace, the teasing and the tone to the room that has turned up, not the one on the brief.
3If a different crowd turns up
Eight hundred events across festivals, awards, conferences and dinners means I have hosted every kind of room. If the mood is not what anyone expected, I change the style on the spot, and often the questions too.

How long
A full board takes twenty-five to thirty-five minutes. Half a board fits between courses.
Pairs well with
Warm up with Common Ground and finish the night with The Cut, which uses the same question bank as a knockout.
“The category board gives the night a shape. Teams gamble on the big-points questions, and a whole room leans forward every time the buzzer opens.”
All fourteen games
Fourteen games. One host. One screen.
Five rounds the whole room plays on their phones, and nine big-screen games with teams at the board. All of it is my own software, run from one screen, so I can switch format the moment the room needs a lift. Tap any game to see exactly how it plays.

What’s included
Everything that comes with Quiz Show.
- Five categories written for your audience
- A hundred picture questions ready to drop in
- Buzz-ins, steals and an on-screen clock
- Live team scores and a winner screen
- Your own logos or photos as picture questions
- Hosted from the front, start to finish
A knowledge round on its own can go flat by question six. The board fixes that: teams choose their risk, the buzzer keeps every table on edge, and the picture rounds are a genuine change of pace. It pairs beautifully with a phone-based round from Quiz Live if you want the whole room answering at once, and it is one of the eight games I run from a single screen.
What clients say
Kevin recently hosted a company corporate event and proved to be the consummate professional throughout the evening. He has the unique ability to read a room and keep everyone happy.
Kevin hosted our staff conference event this year which was fantastic. He brought an energy and enthusiasm with him and played a really important part in getting people engaged in the day.
Thank you Kevin for hosting our Christmas party in December 2025. The team had an amazing time. We really liked the intertwining of awards and the game. Everyone had a brilliant time and Kevin was fantastic.
Good to know
Quiz Show hire FAQs.
Can the questions be about our company?
Yes, I build rounds around your business and industry alongside general knowledge, and can drop your own logos, products or photos in as picture questions.
What are the picture rounds?
Questions where an image appears on the big screen to identify, flags, world landmarks and famous paintings, with a bank of a hundred built in, plus any you want adding.
How many teams can play?
As many as the room has tables for, every team gets a place on the board and the live leaderboard.
Is it the same as your Quiz Live app?
Related but different: this is the big-screen buzzer board I host from the front. Quiz Live is the phone-based quiz guests play on their own devices.
Can it be played at the tables or on phones rather than as a show?
Yes. Every game I run can be played three ways: as a show with teams at the front, table against table, or with every guest on their own phone through Play Along. I pick the mix that suits your room and the running order, and I often use all three in one night.
What does it cost?
Fees are quoted individually for the date, the venue and the length of the show. Send the numbers and the running order and I will send a quote.
