Guess the Phrase hire: the Wheel-of-Fortune format, hosted live.

A hidden phrase on the big screen, lit up one letter at a time. Teams call letters to reveal the board and race to solve the phrase before the wrong-guess lamps run out — the format everyone recognises from the telly, hosted live in your room.

The phrases can be famous sayings, film and TV titles, or lines pulled straight from your company — a mission statement, a running joke, the phrase everyone in the office will spot instantly.

  • Your own phrases, sayings and in-jokes
  • A bank of British sayings, film and TV titles
  • Up to five teams head to head
Solved — the whole phrase lit

How it plays

How a round of Guess the Phrase works.

  1. A phrase appearsThe board shows a blanked-out phrase with its topic and a row of wrong-guess lamps.
  2. Call the lettersTeams call letters in turn. Every match flips alight everywhere it appears in the phrase.
  3. Watch the lampsA wrong letter lights a lamp with a flash. Fill all six and the round is lost.
  4. Solve itAny team can call the whole phrase at any moment to take the round outright.

“A half-revealed phrase has the entire room guessing under its breath. When your own company’s phrase drops, it gets the biggest cheer of the night.”

What’s included

Everything that comes with Guess the Phrase.

  • Your own phrases, sayings and in-jokes
  • A bank of British sayings, film and TV titles
  • Up to five teams head to head
  • Wrong-guess lamps with a flash on the board
  • Solve-it-anytime rule for the brave
  • Hosted live, tension built by hand

Why it works

Why it lands in a corporate room.

It builds real suspense from almost nothing — a few lit tiles and a lamp count — and it is endlessly customisable, so it doubles as a sneaky way to land a company message. It pairs well with What the Blank for a word-game double bill.

Good to know

How many teams can play?

Up to five teams head to head, with the whole room chipping in.

Is there a wrong-guess limit?

Yes — six wrong letters ends the round, which is exactly what keeps it tense.
