What the Blank hire: the fill-in-the-blank game built for laughs.

A prompt appears with a word missing — ‘A terrible thing to hear the pilot say is ____’ — and five ranked answers sit hidden on the board. Teams write their funniest fill and score by matching the answers everyone else reached for.

It is the game that gets a corporate room actually talking to each other, because the best answers are always the ones about the people in it.

  • Prompts written around your company
  • Five ranked answers, instant scoring

How it plays

How a round of What the Blank works.

  1. Read the promptA fill-in-the-blank prompt goes up on the big screen, with five ranked answers hidden behind it.
  2. Teams answerEvery team writes their best fill for the missing word — the funnier and more obvious, the better.
  3. Match to scoreThe answers reveal top to bottom. Match a hidden one and you score the points on it, up to fifty for the top spot.
  4. Live leaderboardScores stack up on the board, with a leaderboard between rounds so every table knows where it stands.

“Nobody feels stupid. It rewards being funny and reading the room, so the tables that groaned at the trivia round suddenly come alive.”

What’s included

Everything that comes with What the Blank.

  • A hundred fill-in-the-blank puzzles built in
  • Prompts written around your company
  • Five ranked answers, instant scoring
  • Optional live-judges mode
  • Up to ten teams on the leaderboard
  • Clean enough for work, sharp enough to land

Why it works

Why it lands in a corporate room.

Unlike a knowledge quiz there is no wrong answer, only a less popular one — which frees people up. It is the round guests quote back to each other at the bar afterwards, and it sits neatly beside a buzzer quiz show for a night with a bit of everything.
